MOJ introduces evening shifts at Abdullah Al-Mubarak and Jaber Al-Ali service centers
The Ministry of Justice has begun implementing an official evening work system at the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak and Jaber Al-Ali service centers as part of efforts to better organize operations and enhance the quality of services provided to the public.
Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Awatif Al-Sanad, said on Monday that the move reflects the ministry’s commitment to improving service efficiency while ensuring smoother access for citizens and residents, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Sanad explained that the decision is in line with Ministerial Resolution No. 983 of 2025, issued by Minister of Justice Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait, and in implementation of Civil Service Bureau Circular No. 12 of 2024 regulating official evening working hours.
Al-Sanad noted that evening working hours will be observed from Sunday to Thursday each week, for a daily duration of four and a half hours, beginning at 4:00 pm and continuing until 8:30 pm.
Al-Sanad added that the introduction of evening shifts forms part of the ministry’s broader policy to enhance operational efficiency and rationalize expenditures by organizing work schedules more effectively, thereby reducing reliance on overtime without compromising service standards.
The Ministry of Justice reaffirmed its commitment to complying with established regulations and procedures, improving institutional performance, streamlining transactions, and facilitating access to services for citizens and residents, in a manner that serves the public interest and advances the quality of judicial services.
