MoI offers easy online service for women affected by Article 8 nationality revocation

The Ministry of Interior has announced a new simple online service for women whose citizenship was revoked under Article 8.
These women can now use the government’s unified app “Sahel” to update their status or provide proof that they have rectified their situation.
To use the service, users need to open the Ministry of Interior’s services in the Sahel app, choose “Article 8 Affairs Services,” and then select “Submitting Status Amendment and Proof of Seriousness.”
If a woman has obtained a passport from her original country, she should choose the “modify status” option and upload a copy of the passport, reports Al-Rai daily.
If she hasn’t gotten a passport yet, she should select “prove seriousness” and upload any official documents that show she is working on it and the issue is in the stages of processing.
After submitting the application, users can track the status directly through the Sahel app. If they have questions or want to file a complaint, they can use the communication service in the app or call the Article 8 Affairs Office during official hours from Sunday to Thursday, 8 am to 2:30 pm, on phone numbers that have been provided.
