MoI launches new ‘Sahel’ service for scheduling meetings with Correctional Facility officials
The new service aims to facilitate communication between inmates’ families and correctional authorities by allowing them to book appointments to raise inquiries or file complaints electronically.

The Ministry of Interior has introduced a new digital service that enables users to request an appointment with correctional facility officials using the “Sahel” App.
According to the ministry, users can access the service by selecting the Ministry of Interior’s services within the app, choosing the General Administration of Correctional Institutions, and specifying a suitable time for their meeting.
The initiative was launched in coordination with the Ministry of Information Technology and the General Administration of Correctional Institutions.
The new service aims to facilitate communication between inmates’ families and correctional authorities by allowing them to book appointments to raise inquiries or file complaints electronically.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that interviews with officials from the General Administration of Correctional Institutions will be conducted every Monday between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., ensuring greater accessibility and efficiency in handling public requests.
