MOI issues safety guidelines for motorists during sand storms
The Ministry of Interior has issued safety guidelines for driving during dust storms, emphasizing caution and preparedness.
Key recommendations include using hazard lights strictly as a warning signal, adhering to official weather alerts, and maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, reports Al-Rai daily.
The ministry advised, “If visibility drops, reduce your speed and avoid using your mobile phone. Keep windows closed and use the air conditioning system. If conditions worsen significantly, try to move to a secondary road for safety.”
