MoI issues 2,000 traffic violations & arrests 192 residence violators

The Ministry of Interior said that within the ongoing security efforts of the Public Security Sector to impose security control and arrest violators and outlaws, the ongoing activity of the security directorates in the country’s governorates resulted in the arrest of several violators.

2771 reports were actioned, 565 checkpoints were set up, through which 12219 traffic violations were issued, 404 people were arrested, 192 of whom were in violation of the residency law, and 41 vehicles were seized.

947 assistances were provided, 1152 traffic accidents were dealt with, and 114 people were arrested in possession of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and alcohol.
