MOI dismantles forgery network linked to work permits

The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Public Authority of Manpower, uncovered criminal network forging work permit applications for commercial companies in exchange for bribes.

Investigations revealed that a Public Authority of Manpower employee supplied genuine applications to a middleman, who passed them to a printing press worker.

The documents were then altered and re-uploaded to the “Sahel” system for KD 5 per forged application.

Defendants admitted to paying bribes ranging from KD 130 to KD 250 for each transaction. The forged permits facilitated illegal recruitment of workers, with several companies now under investigation and monitoring.

Authorities arrested one Kuwaiti citizen, six Egyptian residents, and one Syrian resident. All were referred to the Public Prosecution, as officials affirmed zero tolerance for attempts to exploit administrative systems or damage Kuwait’s reputation.
