MOI deploys ‘Smart Patrols’ on Second Ring Road impounds violating vehicles
. . . campaign steps up security drives to curb traffic violations and enhance public safety

The Ministry of Interior carried out an extensive security and inspection campaign along the Second Ring Road, resulting in the impounding of several vehicles, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and enforce traffic regulations across the country.
In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry said the campaign was conducted with the participation of multiple security sectors within a broader plan aimed at strengthening law enforcement, apprehending violators and wanted individuals, and limiting dangerous traffic behavior.
The campaign was implemented in line with directives issued by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
The ministry explained that the operation relied on smart patrol units equipped with advanced technologies designed to support monitoring and rapid response operations.
These systems enabled security personnel to identify wanted individuals and vehicles more efficiently, enhancing the effectiveness of field operations and facilitating the arrest of offenders.
Authorities stated that the campaign resulted in the seizure of vehicles that breached traffic regulations, including those generating excessive and disruptive noise.
The vehicles were transferred to the traffic facility for a two-month period, with legal action taken against their owners in accordance with applicable laws.
The Ministry of Interior stressed that intensive security and traffic campaigns will continue across all governorates, affirming its commitment to applying the law firmly against violators in order to safeguard public security and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
