MOI denies implementing new system to monitor calls, social media
Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that a new system has been introduced to monitor communications, telephone calls and social media platforms.
In a statement, the ministry said the information being circulated about the alleged monitoring system is false and has no basis in fact. It urged the public to verify information before sharing it and to rely on official sources for accurate news and updates.
The ministry’s clarification comes after similar claims spread online, prompting authorities to reiterate the importance of checking information through approved and reliable sources rather than circulating unverified reports.
