MOI cracks down on 48 cyber violations in nationwide campaign

The Ministry of Interior intensified its efforts to combat digital misconduct, and announced that the Cybercrime Department detected 48 legal violations during a recent security campaign targeting online offenses.
The violations ranged from content offending public morals and inciting debauchery to insults against individuals, calls to break the law, and posts targeting neighboring countries.
The authorities also uncovered several fake accounts involved in publishing prohibited and illegal material.
The Ministry confirmed that legal action has been taken against all offenders, with cases referred to the competent authorities for further proceedings.
Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding the online sphere, the Ministry stated that its monitoring teams operate around the clock to protect society, uphold moral values, and maintain a secure digital environment.
It urged users of digital platforms to respect the law and exercise responsibility when posting content, stressing that freedom of expression does not give license to defamation or violations of public morals.
