MOI continues to implement biometric fingerprinting process

The General Administration of Security Relations and Media announced that the Ministry of Interior is continuing to implement the biometric fingerprinting process for citizens of Kuwait, citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and residents at all border crossings, including Kuwait International Airport and designated centers.

Kuwaiti and GCC citizens, and residents can undergo biometric fingerprinting upon their arrival at the specified centers and complexes.

The commercial offices designated for this purpose are as follows: Hawalli Security Directorate in Hawalli Governorate, Farwaniya Security Directorate in Farwaniya Governorate, Al-Ahmadi Security Directorate in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Security Directorate in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, Al-Jahra Security Directorate in Al-Jahra Governorate (for citizens and GCC citizens), and the Personality Investigation Department fingerprinting companies in the region of Ali Sabah Al-Salem, as well as the Identity Investigation Department fingerprinting companies in the Jahra area (for residents).

Additionally, the process is available at various malls such as the Avenues Mall, 360 Mall, Al-Kout Mall, Capital Mall, and the Ministries Complex.

It was clarified that travelers are not required to undergo fingerprinting when leaving Kuwait; however, it is conducted upon their return. During January 2024, a total of 26,238 arrivals had their biometric fingerprints taken at Kuwait International Airport.
