MoI conducts extensive security campaign in Jabriya
The authorities carried out an extensive security campaign in the Jabriya area under the direct supervision of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, in cooperation with the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Rescue Police, the Public Security Sector and the Special Security Forces.
During the campaign, all entrance and exit points to the Jabriya area were closed off, with checkpoints set up to arrest violators. The result was the issuance of 800 traffic tickets, arrest of 4 people in possession of narcotics and seizure of 18 vehicles and motorcycles. MoI also arrested 11 wanted offenders, 4 wanted vehicles, in addition to 2 people violating the residence law, and referring 9 people to the traffic police, according to what was published by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) via its account on the “X” platform, and as reported by Al Jarida.
The MoI confirmed that this campaign comes within a strategic plan to enhance security in all areas of the country, noting that these security campaigns will continue periodically to ensure the rule of law to maintain security and public order in the country.
