Al-Yousef orders strict enforcement of the law, shops closed and violators arrested as MOI pledges to continue campaigns unabated

Under the supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the Criminal Security Sector, of the General Department of Criminal Investigations, led a large-scale joint security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan.

The campaign resulted in the closure of 19 shops for failing to meet licensing requirements, in addition to issuing violations against commercial activities not approved by the Ministry of Commerce and Kuwait Municipality. Informal markets were also dismantled, and 26 violators were arrested.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef instructed all relevant authorities to intensify oversight of violating establishments and to act decisively by imposing immediate and deterrent measures against offenders, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry confirmed that security operations will continue in cooperation with other authorities as part of a wider plan to combat violations, protect public safety, and safeguard society.

Several government institutions took part in the campaign, including the Kuwait Fire Force, Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Environment Public Authority.
