MoI arrests eight in multiple drug possession cases
Kuwait’s security forces have arrested eight individuals in separate cases found to be in possession of narcotics for trafficking purposes, the Interior Ministry (MoI) said on Tuesday.
Security operations as part of a national crackdown on illicit pharmaceuticals led to the confiscation of an array of drugs, including Captagon pills, Lyrica capsules and methamphetamine (shabu), according to a ministry statement.
The latest arrests come a day after Kuwaiti security forces foiled an attempt to smuggle the narcotic substance known as “A4” into the country through an air freight shipment, added the statement.
