MOI Acting Undersecretary calls for readiness, vigilance, preparedness

The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior said the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conducted an inspection tour of the northern border post (Umm Sedira).

According to the statement, Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf emphasized the critical importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness, vigilance, and constant preparedness among the ministry’s personnel stationed on both the northern and southern borders of the country.

During the visit, he conveyed greetings and appreciation from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf commended the great efforts and diligent work carried out around the clock by the ministry’s personnel to preserve the country’s security and the safety of its borders.

The Acting Undersecretary underscored the necessity of responding to all incidents and taking decisive measures to confront any violations against the security, stability, and territorial integrity of the country.
He emphasized that such a role is not surprising for the dedicated personnel of the Ministry of Interior, who are committed to serving Kuwait and highlighted the border security sector as the vigilant guardian of the nation’s security.

The Acting Undersecretary also praised the collaborative spirit among all workers at the border crossings and acknowledged the supervisory role played by the Ministry’s employees across various locations and specializations. He expressed pride and appreciation for their efforts, urging the continuation of this work ethic and encouraging more efforts and cooperation to accomplish tasks with precision and mastery.

During the tour, Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf received a detailed explanation from Brigadier General Faisal Al-Subaie, the Director of the Northern Borders, regarding the security system on the northern border. He also gained insights into the tasks and operational mechanisms of the center, the electrical security system, the preparedness of the security force, and the technical and administrative equipment at the center.

Accompanying Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf on the tour were Major General Mansour Al-Awadhi, the Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Ports and Border Security Affairs, Major General Hamid Al-Baloul, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Affairs of the Minister of Interior’s Office, and several security leaders.
