MOH program presented to Parliament to be implemented within 100 days

The Minister of Health has identified priorities, including new construction and openings, attention to primary health care, and the digitization of health services as a priority.

Speaking during the launch of the annual diagnostic radiology conference, Thursday, about the latest developments in the field of diagnostic radiology, he told reporters that the government’s work program regarding the ministry includes a plan to develop primary health care, which will take place under the supervision of the Assistant Undersecretary for Health Care Affairs, Dr. Nadia Al-Juma.

Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi added that the program also includes opening new centers, extending working hours, training cadres, strengthening the infrastructure, and paying attention to national cadres, revealing that 79 ambulances will be received and operated soon, paying attention to the electronic file, archiving files, and activating digital programs as a comprehensive plan for the ministry.

Dr Al-Awadhi, stressed the keenness to implement the ministry’s objectives contained in the government’s work program that was presented to the National Assembly and will be implemented by the Ministry of Health within 100 days.

In his opening speech at the conference, he stated that the future vision of medical care provided in the field of diagnostic radiology in the country will expand to include the role and responsibilities of caregivers and work to confront challenges related to the safety and rights of patients.

He stressed taking advantage of the latest technologies and promising opportunities and harnessing them to serve patients, and ensuring that we continue working as a single team to perform the desired professional and humanitarian responsibilities.

He stated that the conference discusses many challenges, including artificial intelligence technology, with the aim of improving health services provided to obtain accuracy in diagnosis and thus accuracy in treatment, specifically for cancer and cardiovascular patients.

Minister Al-Awadhi pointed out that scientific conferences are an opportunity to exchange future visions to enhance scientific and professional cooperation between specialists in this field, indicating that the conference reflects the Ministry of Health’s keenness and permanent commitment to keeping pace with the latest technologies and scientific developments in this specialty.

He pointed to the clear global interest in the latest and most advanced technologies in the field of diagnostic radiology, expressing great pride in the contribution of national cadres in many international scientific researches in the field of diagnostic radiology, which were published in many famous international journals.

For her part, the President of the Conference and Head of the Radiology Department at Al-Amiri Hospital, Dr. Asma Al-Failakawi, said the conference hosted an elite group of international experts and consultants in the field of diagnostic radiology, in addition to national expertise and competencies to raise the level of health services provided and raise the efficiency of medical staff.
