The Ministry of Health on Friday inaugurated the Dermatology Departments Council Conference, held under the theme “Highlighting Rare Skin Diseases and Chronic Immune Diseases.”
The two-day event brings together leading specialists, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the latest advancements in dermatology and immunological disorders.
Speaking on behalf of the conference patron, Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Undersecretary Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi said the conference aligns with the ministry’s goals to enhance healthcare services and strengthen scientific approaches in rare and immunological specialties.
He noted that the event contributes to keeping pace with global developments in dermatological treatments.
Dr. Al-Mutairi emphasized that such scientific gatherings support both the academic and practical aspects of the medical workforce by creating a platform for knowledge exchange with peers from the Arab region and around the world.
He praised the organizing team for delivering a conference that reflects Kuwait’s commitment to medical excellence and acknowledged the participants whose expertise enriched the scientific program.
The conference also coincides with the graduation of the 2025 class of the Kuwaiti Board of Dermatology program—an achievement Dr. Al-Mutairi described as a testament to the Ministry of Health and the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations’ efforts to build medical capacity and offer training that meets international standards.
An accompanying medical exhibition showcases state-of-the-art technologies and devices related to dermatology, with participation from pharmaceutical companies and renowned international medical institutions.
The exhibition aims to familiarize doctors and specialists with the latest therapeutic and technological innovations that can improve clinical practice and elevate the quality of healthcare services.
The conference stands as an important scientific platform that unites local and global expertise, underscoring the Ministry of Health’s commitment to advancing professional development and reinforcing Kuwait’s position as a regional leader in dermatology and specialized medical care.
