MOH expects to generate over 200 million dinars annually

. . . from revised health insurance coverage

The Ministry of Health has projected that recent measures to increase health insurance fees will generate annual revenues exceeding 200 million dinars, while easing pressure on public healthcare facilities and supporting the growth of the private health insurance sector.

In a statement, the ministry said the implementation of the decision coincides with the enforcement of the new regulations of the Foreigners’ Residence Law, which come into effect on December 23, ensuring legislative and regulatory alignment between relevant authorities, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The ministry also highlighted the adoption of comprehensive digital transformation in health insurance procedures, alongside the establishment of an integrated electronic linkage between the ministries of Health and Interior.

These steps aim to enhance government coordination, streamline services, and improve efficiency in managing health insurance systems.
