MOH establishes e-link with Commerce Ministry to simplify licensing procedures

The Ministry of Health said it has introduced a new e-link service with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to streamline the process of renewing issuing licenses for public health activities.
In a statement published on its X platform, the ministry said the integrated system enables licenses to be issued and renewed directly between the two ministries, eliminating the need for in-person visits and allowing transactions to be completed electronically.
The digital linkage covers a wide range of public health activity licenses, including:
- Health institutes for men, women, and children.
- Disinfection and pest control services.
- Rodent extermination services.
- Warehouse storage facilities.
- Wholesale and retail sales of pesticides.
The ministry added the new system allows instant and secure data exchange between the two entities, significantly reducing processing times and easing the burden on applicants; describing the initiative as a qualitative leap in modernizing Kuwait’s business environment, stressing that it promotes greater transparency, efficiency, and institutional cooperation.
