MOH conducts nationwide hospital inspections to ensure holiday readiness

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health carried out extensive field inspections across hospitals and healthcare facilities on Friday as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the continuity and quality of medical services during the Eid holiday period. The visits, ordered by Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, were aimed at monitoring service delivery, assessing readiness, and verifying the availability of essential medical supplies and equipment.
In a statement, the Ministry affirmed its commitment to maintaining uninterrupted healthcare services throughout public holidays. The inspection tours focused on the technical, administrative, and logistical preparedness of hospitals and specialized health centers across the country, reports Al-Jarida daily.
During a visit to Farwaniya Hospital, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Health Affairs, Eng. Adel Al-Rashidi, emphasized the importance of digital infrastructure in supporting healthcare quality. “The technical and digital readiness of our facilities is now a key factor in ensuring efficient responses under all circumstances,” he said.
Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Fares, following his inspection of Al Sabah Hospital, highlighted the exceptional level of coordination and professionalism displayed by hospital staff during the holiday period. “Working during official holidays requires dedication and responsibility, both of which were clearly evident during today’s visits,” he noted.
Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs, Dr. Munther Al-Hasawi, stressed the importance of continuing preventive and diagnostic services. “Ensuring comprehensive public health services during holidays helps safeguard health and strengthens emergency response systems,” he said.
At Mubarak Hospital, Assistant Undersecretary for Medicines and Medical Equipment Affairs Khaled Al-Yassin underscored the priority of maintaining adequate stockpiles of essential medications and supplies. He stated that “a well-integrated supply system ensures the uninterrupted flow of vital medical resources even during holidays.”
Dr. Abdullah Al-Fars, Assistant Undersecretary for Medical Support Services, toured Al-Adan Hospital, where he praised the readiness and swift response of the technical and support staff. “The readiness of all departments—medical, technical, and administrative—is vital to sustaining comprehensive care,” he affirmed.
Dr. Hisham Kalander, Assistant Undersecretary for External Health Services, visited the emergency and outpatient departments at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, calling it one of the country’s flagship healthcare institutions. He noted that its round-the-clock operations during holidays reflect the Ministry’s commitment to universal healthcare access.
At Al-Jahra Hospital, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Tasha, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs, reviewed logistical operations. He emphasized the crucial role of support services in maintaining a stable healthcare environment and affirmed that logistical efforts continue around the clock.
The Ministry also ensured that dental services remain available during the Eid break. Dr. Ahmed Asad, Assistant Undersecretary for Dental Affairs, conducted inspections at several dental centers, including the Amiri Dental Center emergency clinic, Al-Saqr Health Center in Adailiya, Munira Al-Ayyar in Kaifan, and Al-Ihaqaqi in Daiya. He praised the commitment of dental teams for continuing to provide urgent care across specialties.
