MOH closes job transfer window under new biannual regulation

Transfer system is part of the ministry’s broader strategy to enhance human resource management

The Ministry of Health has officially closed the job transfer window for its employees following the end of the designated grace period, as part of the implementation of a new regulation issued by Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi.

The directive limits job transfers to two fixed periods each year — in April and October during the first 15 days except in documented health-related emergencies.

Sources informed Al-Anba daily that the ministry received a high volume of transfer requests across various specializations during the allowed timeframe. Each request was thoroughly reviewed based on the specific needs and operational requirements of relevant healthcare facilities, ensuring equitable and balanced personnel distribution.

The transfer process was conducted in coordination with internal departments, taking into consideration job titles and academic qualifications to maintain service quality and meet institutional goals.

The ministry emphasized that transfer applications must be submitted using the official form, accompanied by approvals from both the current and receiving departments, as well as the relevant assistant undersecretary.

This regulated transfer system is part of the ministry’s broader strategy to enhance human resource management and support the evolving demands of Kuwait’s healthcare sector.
