MoF vehemently denies taxation rumours

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) denied the baseless rumours being circulated about imposing various taxes on salaries, goods, tickets, non-essential services, and entertainment.

The ministry, in a press statement stated, “As for the MoF’s efforts to promote tax culture in schools, the ministry clarifies that this is considered one of the programs that fall within the jurisdiction of the Tax Administration at the Ministry of Finance.

This has been implemented since 2005, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, to grow tax and financial culture awareness among middle and high school students, as part of the cooperation with state institutions,” as reported by the Arabic daily Al Rai.
