Ministry witnesses 1,700 delivery licenses applications on first day
Applications for delivery companies are expected to rise daily, potentially reaching 40,000 to 50,000 by month’s end.
• The Ministry of Interior had previously suspended licenses for consumer order delivery activities five years ago but issued a decision last week to reopen the activity under new controls and requirements.
Informed sources revealed that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through the Single Window Department, received over 1,700 applications for establishing consumer delivery companies on the first day after the ban on issuing their licenses was lifted, according to Q8-Press.
The sources expect the number of applications for establishing delivery companies to increase daily until the end of the month, with the total potentially reaching between 40,000 and 50,000 requests once the process stabilizes.
It is important to note that this type of commercial license requires approval from the Ministry of Interior, as it pertains to activities regulated by the General Traffic Department.
