Ministry to launch 19 new electronic services, 10 ‘Sahel’ notifications in a year

The Ministry of Justice said that over 1,220,000 transactions were made through the ‘Sahel’ app in 2023, with over four million notifications sent to users.

  • The Ministry of Justice is continuing to intensify its efforts towards digital transformation and enhance its participation in launching services through the ‘Sahel’ application for government electronic services, said Dr. Muhammad Al-Wasmi, Minister of Justice and Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Wasmi, Minister of Justice and Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, declared that the Ministry of Justice will introduce 19 new electronic services within a year. Additionally, ten new notifications will be activated through the government’s unified electronic services application, ‘Sahel,’ the Al Rai newspaper reported.

Al-Wasmi stated that the number of electronic transactions requested and executed through the ‘Sahel’ application in 2023 surpassed 1,220,000. Moreover, the number of notifications delivered to users exceeded four million during the same period.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Justice is continuing to intensify its efforts towards digital transformation and enhance its participation in launching services through the ‘Sahel’ application for government electronic services. The primary goal in doing so is to serve the customer audience by focusing on the ease and quality of electronic services.
