Ministry to cut power in five areas, advises peak consumption limits

The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced that it may need to cut electricity in certain residential areas due to emergency maintenance on some generation units, according to Al-Jarida newspaper.

The affected areas include Sabah Al-Ahmad (Sector C), West Abdullah Mubarak (Block 6), Al-Rumaithia (Block 3, 4, and 5), Salwa (Blocks 1 and 2), and Heresies. This measure aims to ensure the stability of the country’s electricity system.

The ministry stated that it may need to cut power to some non-residential areas successively due to emergency maintenance work and has also called for the rationalization of consumption during peak periods.
