Ministry reaffirms full rights for those affected by citizenship withdrawal

Cabinet-backed decision ensures continuity of services for beneficiaries; Social Affairs opens direct WhatsApp line for women with disabilities

The Ministry of Social Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to providing all services and benefits for persons whose status has been adjusted under Article 8, in accordance with Cabinet directives concerning those affected by citizenship withdrawal.

The ministry stressed that these persons will continue to be treated as Kuwaiti women in all entitlements and services, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a press statement, the ministry clarified that all previous benefits — whether social or service-related — will remain intact, in line with Council of Ministers’ decisions aimed at preserving the stability of beneficiaries and their families.

The ministry also invited women with disabilities seeking information or clarifications to contact via the WhatsApp service at 22484531, available during morning hours from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and evening hours from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The statement concluded by affirming the ministry’s full dedication to safeguarding the rights of this group of people and providing necessary support to ensure their continued access to all services and benefits guaranteed by the Cabinet’s decision.
