Ministry prepared for country’s energy needs, says Boushahri

Dr. Mahmoud Boushahri, Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, urged all customers to conserve energy during peak periods, which extend from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, as this significantly impacts the sustainability of electrical energy.
Dr. Mahmoud Boushahri, Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, along with being the Minister of State for Housing Affairs, has affirmed the stable state of electrical energy.
He pointed out that the ministry is fully equipped with its capabilities and personnel to address the state’s electrical energy requirements and handle any emergencies arising from heightened loads due to high temperatures, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.
During his visit to the National Control Center on Tuesday, Boushahri called for updates on work progress and the management of the national electricity network. He urged all customers to conserve energy during peak periods, which extend from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, as this significantly impacts the sustainability of electrical energy.
Minister Boushahri also briefed the center on the status of the electrical network and its readiness to handle high electrical loads during the summer period.
The visit included the computer room, the communications room, and the control, monitoring, and network operation room, all of which are involved in monitoring the operations of electric power stations, water distillation, and main transfer stations.
Boushahri thanked all the officials and technical staff working in all sectors of the ministry, praising their exceptional efforts.
