Ministry of Interior urges pre-booking for biometric appointments via ‘Meta’

The Ministry of the Interior has urged everyone to schedule appointments in advance using the “Meta” platform via the unified government app for electronic services, “Sahel,” before visiting the designated biometric fingerprinting centers, as they will not accept walk-in appointments.

The General Department of Security Relations and Media stated in a press release that ‘The plan developed by the General Department of Forensic Evidence for fingerprinting appointments is adequate for everyone and will be completed before the specified deadline.’

Regarding what was circulated on some social media sites about the crowding of patients in front of one of the fingerprint centers, the ministry stated that ‘the incident was dealt with immediately,’ indicating that the crowding was due to ‘the presence of a large number of patients without a prior appointment.
