“Ministry of Interior” participates in 5th Gulf Conference focusing on Cybersecurity challenges
The Ministry of Interior participated in the 5th Gulf Conference and Exhibition on Cybersecurity Challenges, held in Kuwait under the slogan “Safe Digital Environment”, in the presence of Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Omar Al-Omar.
The Ministry mentioned in a statement today, Tuesday, that under the patronage of the Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior, H. E. Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, the Ministry participated in the conference that was represented by the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences; General Department of Security Relations and Media; General Department of Information Systems and; Department of Combating Electronic Crimes.
In the conference discussions were aimed towards the most prominent challenges facing countries and societies in the field of cybersecurity, especially with regard to cyber policies and strategies, and the risks and threats imposed by the digital environment.
Furthermore, the conference also addressed about the international cooperation mechanisms to confront cyber threats and the importance of enhancing joint efforts in combating their spread. The event was an opportunity to learn about international experiences and progress made in the field of cybersecurity and digital transformation.
The Ministry of Interior stressed that its participation comes within the framework of its commitment in enhancing Cybersecurity in Kuwait and keeping pace with the rapid developments in this field.
It was also noted about the importance of the conference as a platform to enhance regional and international cooperation to protect the digital space, and ensure the safety of citizens and residents in the digital world.
