Ministry of Health strengthens administrative systems for better services

The ministry’s decisions organize departmental hierarchy based on sector needs in health regions and central administrations.

As part of regulatory measures to boost productivity, enhance performance, and meet set objectives across all sectors, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, the Minister of Health,issued three ministerial decisions. These decisions pertain to organizing the technical hierarchy of certain departments in health regions and central administrations, following an assessment of the actual requirements of the relevant sectors and health districts.

The first decision involved transferring the technical oversight of accounting departments, financial support departments, and their respective divisions and units in all health regions and central departments directly to the Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs.

The second decision also entailed transferring the technical oversight of monitoring engineering affairs and engineering affairs offices in all health regions directly to the Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs and Projects.

Meanwhile, the third decision involved transferring the technical oversight of warehouses’ sub-departments, divisions, and units in all health regions and central departments to the Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs.

These ministerial decisions aim to strengthen the administrative structure, enhance the quality of services provided, and achieve sustainable development. They will take effect immediately upon issuance, with any conflicting decisions or texts being repealed.
