Ministry of Finance grants extra job grades for agencies

The allocations for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-2025 will remain in effect until they are reviewed and ratified by the National Assembly.

  • Several state agencies face delays in candidate appointments due to job grade limits, slowing down the appointment process.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the Ministry of Finance has approved government agencies experiencing job grade shortages to temporarily access additional job grades for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-2025. These allocations will remain in effect until they are reviewed and ratified by the National Assembly.

The sources said, “There are a number of state agencies that have candidates who have not been appointed to the agencies to which they were nominated for months due to the exhaustion of job grades allocated for the ending fiscal year. This hindrance has impeded the completion of their appointment procedures.”

In this context, the sources stated that the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy is taking steps to finalize the appointment of candidates for employment in its sectors and departments after resolving this problem. They indicated that the number of candidates exceeds 1,000.
