Ministry of “Affairs” and “Education” cooperate to open “Dar Al Atfal School”
It’s an endeavour to provide integrated educational environment for children’s promising future in social care sector, strengthen the social security umbrella and educate children facing special circumstances.
The Ministry of Social Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, opened today, Thursday, the “Dar Al-Atfal School” in the Social Care Sector, within the framework of the partnership between government sectors to serve children in family foster care from the category of unknown parents and some cases of family disintegration.
Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, Acting Undersecretary, Ministry of Social Affairs, stated that the opening of the school reflects the ministry’s commitment in providing an integrated educational environment that guarantees a promising future for children in the social care sector, and is part of plans to strengthen the social security umbrella and educate children facing special circumstances.
Al-Ajmi stated that these efforts come within a comprehensive vision that is in line with the state’s aspirations to promote human rights and provide equal educational opportunities for all groups.
In a similar context, Dr. Jassim Al-Kandari, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Social Welfare, pointed out the prominent role of the Family Nursery Department in caring for children.
He added that it represents the basic pillar in caring for children of unknown parentage, and in some cases of victims of family disintegration, as the Ministry works hard to provide a safe and stimulating environment that allows them to grow properly and integrate into the society, effectively.
Al-Kandari said that the State of Kuwait has always been a pioneer in the field of social care, “and we are proud of the successes achieved by the social care sector, which reflect our deep commitment in caring for groups that need support and special care”.
Expressing gratitude, Al-Kandari thanked the Ministry of Education for its continuous support in providing appropriate education for these children, which contribute in achieving the common vision towards these groups. Al- Moreover, Al-Kandari categorically stressed that cooperation between government agencies; is a model of integration that drives the wheel of social development in Kuwait.
The opening of this important mission was attended by the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities at the Ministry of Education, Maryam Al-Anzi, and a number of other leaders.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to support community needs and improve educational infrastructure in Kuwait.
