Ministry merges key media sectors and integrates tourism

A government source informed Al-Rai newspaper that the Ministry of Information, under the direction of Minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, is pursuing the consolidation of several sectors. This move aligns with one of the key objectives outlined in the ministry’s restructuring strategy.

The source revealed the merger of ‘Al-Akhbar’ with ‘KUNA’ and the ‘Press’ sector, the consolidation of the ‘Television’ and ‘Radio’ sectors, and the integration of the tourism sector with the National Council.

This move is aimed at ensuring high-quality control, developing performance, and improving the organizational structure of the ministry’s sectors.
