Ministry fast-tracks summer break for teachers to slash energy use
The Ministry of Education will suspend all middle school activities starting next Monday, June 24, except for those involved in exam administration
• Working hours for personnel assigned to middle and secondary levels will be reduced until the conclusion of the second round of exams, with dismissal scheduled for noon.
Following the guidance of Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, Minister of Education, to streamline energy use and lessen the country’s electrical burden, the ministry is granting the summer break to primary stage educational and administrative personnel starting today, Thursday, June 20, at the close of the workday.
The ministry will suspend all middle school activities starting next Monday, June 24, except for those involved in exam administration. Working hours for personnel assigned to middle and secondary levels will be reduced until the conclusion of the second round of exams, with dismissal scheduled for noon.
Additionally, the ministry will centralize the headquarters of the second round examination committees for the intermediate stage, specifying locations within each educational region, effective next Monday. Further details will be announced later.
The ministry is also implementing necessary measures to ensure the smooth progress of the second round exams and to officially approve the results.
