Ministry condemns artistic offenses, pledges to protect Kuwaiti society

The Ministry of Information has begun taking several measures against the Ramadan series that is offensive to Kuwaiti society and to prevent the recurrence of such offensive scenes.

  • The Ministry of Information stressed that “artistic works must carry sophisticated moral messages, respect the privacy of all societies, and refrain from violating principles.”

The Ministry of Information has confirmed its complete rejection of any artistic works that insult the State of Kuwait or affect the morals of Kuwaiti society. It stressed that necessary measures will be taken to confront any artistic work that harms Kuwaiti society.

In a statement, the ministry said that it has begun taking several measures against the Ramadan series that is offensive to Kuwaiti society and to prevent the recurrence of such offensive scenes. It called on all concerned parties to “respect the laws, regulations, and covenants,” as well as to take the necessary measures to stop showing such scenes in the future.

It stressed that “artistic works must carry sophisticated moral messages, respect the privacy of all societies, and refrain from violating principles.”

The ministry praised the role played by public benefit associations that denounced such actions, demonstrating societal awareness in the State of Kuwait and its rejection of any scenes that affect its ethics and firm principles.
