Ministry ceases citizen teacher appointments in select specialties

• The educational specializations appointed to the position of administrative transaction coordinator included the physical education specialization.

The Ministry of Education has ceased the appointment of citizens as teachers in certain educational specialties and has instead requested their appointment to the position of administrative transaction coordinator.

The ministry’s request was general and did not exclude graduates from the College of Education at Kuwait University and the College of Basic Education at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. It was not limited to graduates from foreign universities or local private universities.

Al-Anbaa newspaper learned that the educational specializations appointed to the position of administrative transaction coordinator included the physical education specialization.

In their statements to Al-Anbaa newspaper, sources mentioned that the Civil Service Commission determines the title based on the entity’s request and the specific workplace where the individual will start working.

Sources explained that after the bureau nominates a group of citizens to work in these agencies, each of them, in turn, contacts the bureau with the designated places based on the needs of these agencies.

In response to a question about the extent of inclusion of this category after being appointed to the position of administrative coordinator in the teacher cadre, the sources replied, the teacher cadre only covers those working in teaching positions.
