Ministry amends scholarship funds to align with 50% directive

The Ministry of Higher Education emphasized its unwavering commitment to the well-being of its scholarship students and assured that it will spare no effort in supporting their affairs abroad until they achieve the educational qualifications they seek.

The Ministry of Higher Education clarified that it remains fully committed to the Council of Ministers’ decision No. 1266 from meeting No. 48-3/2022, which mandates a fifty percent increase in financial allocations for scholarship students studying abroad, coordinated with the Ministry of Finance. The ministry emphasized that this adjustment will be applied exactly as directed, with no changes, according to a report by Al Jarida newspaper.

The ministry added, “However, after reviewing the disbursements, it was observed that some approved amounts did not align with the 50% increase stipulated by the Council of Ministers’ decision, as noted by the Financial Controllers Authority. Consequently, those allocations were amended in accordance with the decision to determine the amounts allocated to students in the scholarship countries, ensuring that disbursements are strictly in line with the figures specified by the ministerial decision.”

The ministry emphasized its unwavering commitment to the well-being of its scholarship students and assured that it will spare no effort in supporting their affairs abroad until they achieve the educational qualifications they seek, enabling them to enter the labor market and contribute to the growth of their beloved homeland, Kuwait.
