Ministerial committee set up to monitor Kuwaiti-Chinese pacts
The committee will be chaired by the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment
In a clear demonstration of its commitment to enhancing cooperation with China, the Kuwaiti Cabinet has established a dedicated committee tasked with overseeing the implementation of agreements and memorandums of understanding signed with Beijing.
The committee will be chaired by the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment. Its members will include the Minister of Electricity and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, the Minister of Commerce, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, and the Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority.
This committee is one of eight committees formed by the cabinet, with the remaining seven committees tasked with “following up on the government’s work program,”“economic affairs,” “legal affairs,” “educational, health, and youth affairs,” “food, water, and drug security,”“public services,” and “coordination between the government and the National Assembly.”
