Minister orders administrative measures against ‘soldiers’

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, has ordered the arrest of the parties to the quarrel, taking all administrative measures against them, and forming an urgent investigation committee into the incident.

Al-Anba reported in its issue yesterday that the incident resulted in the injury of 6 soldiers in the public security, criminal security and traffic sectors, including two officers, the first with the rank of captain and the other a first lieutenant.

A source reported that a quarrel broke out between “an officer and members of the traffic investigation” and “an officer and members of the police and police station investigations” after one of them was chased under the pretext of a traffic violation while he was riding a motorcycle in front of the police station.

The source indicated that the police station registered a case into the incident, attaching medical reports to the quarrel’s injuries, and the legal and administrative procedures are being completed.
