Minister inspects site of power, water station attack
The teams successfully contained and extinguished the fire after six hours of firefighting operations, while technical teams continue assessing damages and beginning rehabilitation work at the affected facilities.
Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem visited Saturday the site of an attack at a power generation and water desalination station to review response efforts.
The ministry said in a statement that the minister, accompanied by Undersecretary Dr. Adel Al-Zamel, reviewed emergency teams’ efforts in coordination with the Kuwait Fire Force and security authorities.
The teams successfully contained and extinguished the fire after six hours of firefighting operations, while technical teams continue assessing damages and beginning rehabilitation work at the affected facilities.
Al-Mukhaizeem praised the efforts of emergency, firefighting, engineering, and technical teams, commending their swift response and efficient handling of the incident while stressing continued repairs.
He affirmed that work would continue until the damaged units are restored to service according to the highest safety and efficiency standards.
