Minister dissolves Al-Adan and Al-Qusour Coop Board of Directors
Outgoing board must hand over all relevant documents, files, funds, and records to the interim director within a maximum of one week

Citing serious financial and administrative malpractices, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah has issued a ministerial decision to dissolve the board of directors of the Al-Adan and Al-Qusour Cooperative Society.
The move comes in response to the audit report and investigation carried out in line with the Administrative Decision No. 777/2025.
According to the decision, a copy of which was obtained by Al Jarida, the investigation committee’s report confirmed violations significant enough to warrant the board’s immediate dissolution.
Dr. Al-Huwailah has appointed Dhari Al Dhafiri as interim director to oversee the society’s operations, effective immediately. His term will last for one year or until a new board is elected, whichever occurs first.
The decision also requires the outgoing board to hand over all relevant documents, files, funds, and records to the interim director within a maximum of one week.
The Ministry emphasized its firm stance on preserving shareholders’ funds and ensuring the sound governance of cooperative societies, noting that safeguarding the integrity and transparency of cooperative performance remains a key priority.
