The plan is for Kuwaiti students who graduated high school in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 in scientific and literary sections.

  • Registration for the vacancy plan for foreign missions for this year will continue until 6 pm on Monday, July 22, via the Ministry of Higher Education’s website.

  • Registration for the vacancy mission plan in medical specialties in foreign countries requires submitting an IELTS test certificate with a minimum score of 6.5, with no less than six in any component, or the equivalent scores on the TOEFL test.

Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has approved the vacancy plan for foreign missions for the academic year 2024/2025.

This plan is intended for Kuwaiti students who graduated from high school ‘the unified system’ or its equivalent in the scientific and literary sections, specifically those who completed their high school education in the years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. This was stated in an official announcement by the Ministry of Higher Education, according to Al Anba newspaper.

Lamia Al-Melhem, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, indicated that based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, the greatest possible opportunity will be given to all male and female students to apply for foreign missions. Registration for the vacancy plan for foreign missions for this year opened yesterday evening and will continue until 6 pm on Monday, July 22, via the ministry’s website.

Al-Melhem explained that registration for the vacancy mission plan in medical specialties ‘human medicine and dentistry’ in foreign countries requires submitting an IELTS test certificate with a minimum score of 6.5, with no less than six in any component, or the equivalent scores on the TOEFL test. For medical specialties in Arab countries, the requirements are as announced in the vacancy plan.

She added that it is necessary to review the specialties included in the plan, their scientific descriptions, and the conditions for admission to universities for each specialization.

The specialties were included in the vacancy plan according to the percentages approved in the annual mission plan, and sorting will be done according to the lowest accepted percentage for each specialization, with the exception of medical and engineering specialties in all their branches.

She stated that if those accepted in the ministry’s mission plan for the academic year 2024-2025 or in the direct dispatch plan for medical specialties or excellence missions wish to apply for the vacancy mission plan, they must withdraw from their current mission to be able to register in the vacancy plan.

She urged all male and female applicants to review the registration conditions, as a student’s registration will be considered void if the required documents specified on the ministry’s website are not submitted or completed before the registration deadline. It is important for students wishing to apply for the vacancy plan to choose a maximum of eight preferences according to the conditions mentioned for each specialization in each country.

The selection criteria for acceptance into the vacancy plan for foreign missions are based on the equivalent average for medical and engineering specializations, the high school average for the rest of the specializations, the order of the student’s preferences, and the number of seats specified in medical specializations according to the agreements with universities in the countries of assignment.
