Minister Al-Mutairi explores role of Kuwait Airways in promoting tourism

A team will be formed with representatives from Kuwait Airways and the Ministry of Information and Culture to develop plans and implement projects for the benefit of Kuwait.

Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Culture, and Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Faqan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways Company, explored ways to enhance collaboration, focusing on service exchanges for tourism and key future projects between the two entities.

Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, met with Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Faqan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways Company, to discuss the significance of the companys operations and its services in supporting Kuwaits tourism sector, as reported by Al Anba newspaper.

They explored ways to enhance collaboration between Kuwait Airways and the ministry, focusing on service exchanges for tourism and key future projects between the two entities. The meeting was also attended by Captain Ahmed M. Alkreebani, CEO of Kuwait Airways, and a delegation from the company.

In this context, Al-Faqan emphasized in a press statement after the meeting that Kuwait Airways always receives the full support and attention of the Ministry of Information in all its activities and events, both inside and outside the State of Kuwait. This support has made it a key partner in the successes of Kuwait Airways and has significantly contributed to achieving the desired goals.

Al-Faqan stated, “We discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Kuwait Airways and the Ministry of Information and Culture in several important areas, most notably participation in the Gulf Cup Football Championship (Gulf 26), which will be hosted by Kuwait next December. We also addressed Kuwait’s participation in Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, and the promotion of the 51 digital platform, which will be featured on the screens of Kuwait Airways aircraft as part of the in-flight entertainment programs.”

Al-Faqan expressed appreciation for the ministry’s vital role in supporting and improving various sectors of media content in the country. He highlighted the importance of encouraging young talent to innovate and develop, as well as advancing tourism in the State of Kuwait. He called upon God Almighty to continue these achievements in ways that support the country’s interests and contribute to its prosperity.

He added that it was agreed to form a team comprising representatives from Kuwait Airways and the Ministry of Information and Culture to develop a mechanism for creating necessary plans and implementing projects that would benefit Kuwait.
