Minister Al-Mishari extends tenure of Women’s Housing Affairs team

The Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mishari, has issued a ministerial decision extending the tenure of the Women’s Housing Affairs team, which is led by Sheikha Bibi Yousef Al-Sabah.
The Public Authority for Housing Welfare stated in a press release today, Wednesday, 12th March, that the Minister of Housing’s decision reaffirms the team’s ongoing efforts since last October, during which key observations were made regarding the provision of housing care for women.
The authority stated that the proposals submitted by the team during its previous tenure are currently being reviewed and implemented in accordance with housing care regulations.
The statement clarified that the extension decision includes adding a representative from the Ministry of Interior to the committee, along with the supervisor of the distribution department at the authority. This aims to support the implementation of procedures, evaluate proposals, and promptly address concerns raised by female citizens eligible for housing care.
The authority emphasized the commitment of the Minister of Housing and its board of directors to ensuring housing care for eligible female citizens, which is in agreement with the Housing Care Law.
