“Minister Al-Mashari” collaborative Kuwaiti-Korean efforts underway to develop South Saad Al-Abdullah City

The Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mashari, pointed about the importance of the participatory relationship with the Republic of Korea, in the field of infrastructure development and residential projects, highlighting about the ongoing negotiations to develop parts of the city of ‘South Saad Al-Abdullah’ with Kuwaiti and Korean ideas and sleeves.

More importantly, Al-Mashari, during his participation in the seventh Smart Cities Forum, emphatically referred to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), between the General Organization for Housing Welfare, and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation, to modernize the design of the Smart City.
Furthermore, Minister Al-Mashari said that “Kuwaiti-Korean relations in the field of construction are not new, but are based on a long history of joint cooperation in several fields, especially in the field of infrastructure”.

In addition, the Minister also pointed out that the Public Organization for Housing Welfare, in partnership with the Korea Land and Housing Foundation, is seeking to complete the South Saad Al-Abdullah project, in which it works as the director of the city’s program for consulting services.

On a very prominent aspect, Al-Mashari also emphasized in seeking to create a permanent partnership that will reflect positively on the economy of the two countries and create a very suitable environment for all Korean companies, especially the ones who aspire to work in Kuwait, as well as create opportunities for local companies in contributing towards Kuwait’s urban development.
