“Minister Al-Jalal” approves update of higher education institutions in US, UK, and Europe
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, issued a ministerial decision approving the update of the lists of distinguished higher education institutions and specializations in the United States for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
The update also includes the distinguished higher education institutions by specialization in the United Kingdom, as well as in several European countries, including the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Belgium, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Republic of Finland, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Ireland, the Republic of Italy, Luxembourg, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Spain, the Kingdom of Sweden, and the Swiss Confederation.
In a press statement, Dr. Al-Jalal emphasized that the ministerial decision to update the lists of distinguished higher education institutions aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring the quality of education for students. He highlighted that this decision reflects the Ministry’s dedication to providing a superior academic environment that meets both the aspirations of students and the demands of the local and international labor markets. This initiative aims to strengthen national competencies across various fields.
Al-Jalal further explained that the updated lists were the result of a thorough study and comprehensive evaluation of these academic institutions by the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance, based on recognized international standards, ensuring scientific and research excellence for students.
Furthermore, Al-Jalal advised students intending to study at distinguished universities to regularly consult the updated lists of educational institutions provided by the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance, ensuring they choose institutions that offer a high-quality education aligned with rapid advancements in various scientific and technological fields. He emphasized that these updates help meet the aspirations of both students and their families.
Al-Jalal also reassured that the Ministry will continue to support students’ progress by offering guidance and resources to help them achieve their academic goals. He stressed that investing in higher education is key to building an advanced knowledge-based society and strengthening Kuwait’s position on the global education map.
The Director General of the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance, Dr. Jassim Al-Ali, stated that during its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors, led by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, approved the update of the lists of distinguished higher education institutions outside Kuwait. These updates include institutions in European countries, the United Kingdom, and the United States, for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Al-Ali emphasized that the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance is committed to continuously evaluating international educational institutions and keeping up with global academic developments. This is done through specialized committees to ensure that academic programs meet the highest global standards.
