MC approves shaded, air-conditioned walkways in Mubarakiya reconstruction project

The Capital Governorate Committee of the Municipal Council has approved the request of the Kuwait Municipality’s Projects Sector to provide shaded and air-conditioned walkways as part of the reconstruction of the Qibla area, Block 7, which was damaged by the Mubarakiya fire.

The committee, chaired by Dr. Hassan Kamal, also approved a request to reorganize the layout of a plot in the Dasman area, Block 3. Meanwhile, it returned to the concerned authority a request submitted by a real estate company to add and purchase state-owned land adjacent to a plot in the Qibla area (First Commercial Block), reports Al-Rai daily.

Additionally, the committee decided to keep on its agenda the request of the Public Facilities Management Company to manage, operate, and maintain surface parking lots near the Kuwait Credit Bank in Qibla, Block 11, as well as the request to cancel the Ministry of Public Works’ pumping station site and reallocate the location for a conversion station under the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in the Nahza area, Block 1.
