
French star Kylian Mbappé arrived in Jeddah early Saturday morning for the highly anticipated ‘El Clásico’ between the 2024-25 La Liga and 2024-25 Copa del Rey winners Barcelona — who are also the Supercopa holders — and both competition’s runners-up Real Madrid on 11 January 2026 at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Mbappé shared a message on his VX account upon arrival, writing: “Peace be upon you, Saudi Arabia.” A video circulating on social media showed the Real Madrid forward greeting fans at Jeddah airport and appearing relaxed and in high spirits.
His participation is a major focus for supporters, given his influential role in Real Madrid’s attack and the club’s ambition to secure the Super Cup title at the expense of their traditional rivals Barcelona.
The Spanish Super Cup final, hosted by Saudi Arabia, continues to attract global attention as one of the most prominent fixtures in the international football calendar.
