Massive security crackdown: 934 violations issued and 36 arrested across Kuwait

The Ministry of Interior announced that a large-scale traffic and security campaign was launched early Thursday morning on Kuwait’s main roads and highways.

The operation was carried out by the Traffic and Operations Sector of the General Traffic Department and the Directorate-General of Emergency Police — in coordination with the Private Security Affairs Sector.

The campaign followed directives from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, who called for intensified nationwide efforts to track down wanted individuals and violators of traffic and residency laws.

According to the Ministry, the campaign led to the issuance of 934 traffic citations and the arrest of 36 individuals for various offenses, including — 13 for violating residency and labor laws; 6 for lacking valid proof of identity; 9 who were wanted for other crimes; 3 juveniles caught driving without a license; 1 person arrested in an abnormal state; 2 found in possession of suspected drugs and intoxicants; 1 person reported absconding and 1 referred to precautionary detention

The ministry reaffirmed that similar campaigns will continue across the country to uphold the law and maintain public safety.

The ministry also urged citizens and residents to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activities or violations.
