Man arrested for deliberate hit-and-run near Sabah Health District; one dead, two injured

Security authorities have arrested a citizen accused of deliberately running over three people near a hospital in the Sabah Health District, an incident that left one person dead and two others seriously injured, according to security sources. The victims were identified as Bangladeshi nationals.

The suspect was taken into custody shortly after the incident. During questioning by investigators, it was revealed that the accused is believed to be suffering from severe psychological disorders, sources told Al-Rai.

The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution, where the suspect now faces a charge of premeditated murder, in addition to other related offenses.

Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the full circumstances and motives behind the attack.

Officials have not released further details regarding the condition of the injured victims, while forensic and legal procedures remain underway.
