Man accused of deliberately running over wife in Mutlaa sentenced to death

The Criminal Court today handed down a death sentence to a Kuwaiti citizen who is accused of deliberately running over his wife in the suburb of Mutlaa on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
Following the verdict, attorney Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan, representing the victim’s heirs, described the ruling as “a victory for justice and redress for the victim and her family.”
He emphasized that the court relied on conclusive evidence presented by the Public Prosecution, including forensic reports and the technical examination of the crime scene, which confirmed that the act was premeditated and deliberate.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the nature of the crime and the tragic timing during a major holiday.
